He challenged me in every workout ... and consistently provided support through his online training app. I am accomplishing more in less time... and as a busy working mom, that is of utmost importance. I’ve worked with other trainers before but no one has ever convinced me that I’m absolutely capable of so much more than I ever imagined quite the way Jeff has.
His workouts are challenging and smart, always constructed with my particular goals and needs in mind. He holds me accountable and demands that I show up for myself — but he also knows when to cut me a little slack.
I always leave feeling way better than when I arrived, not only because of those amazing post-workout endorphins but also because I’ve been laughing pretty much the whole time!

I began training with Jeff a few years ago for endurance and increased fitness. he got me there, now fast forward a few years and my goals have changed. With different stressors both health wise and stress. Jeff has monitored my workouts and tailored them to my needs. Pushing me to be the best I can be but never allowing me to injure myself (which on my own I would). He is the best trainer I have ever had my goals are not just met but exceeded in every way!

I started training with Jeff after an ankle injury left me unsure of what I could do to stay active. He showed me that even though I had limitations, I could still get a killer workout! I began lifting weights (something I was always intimidated by) and in just a few short months I went from struggling to lift an empty bar, to being able to lift 195 lbs! After a few boot camps and months of training, True Strength helped me see that my body is capable of so many more things than I ever gave it credit for and I’m so thankful for that.

Good coaches can give you a training plan, they can discuss diet and nutrition with you, and they can express the importance of sleep and managing stress; but great coaches are so much more than that. Great coaches teach you; they don’t tell you. They help you learn how to help yourself and they create a safe place for you to do that. Jeff Kearns is a great coach and I cannot recommend him enough! He imparts his knowledge and experience by asking you the tough questions and challenging your old way of thinking but allowing you to draw your own conclusions. Jeff pushes me to reach my goals, he holds me accountable and always gives me honest feedback. He has a way of getting you to believe in yourself and making you want to put in the work. I’m lucky to have found such a great coach and friend to work with!

While working together I got not only stronger but my low back problems seemed to slowly go away. I had more movement in areas I had never felt before. I felt rejuvenated! In the end I've always seen results I was looking for. I have grown in strength and overall fitness. I have more confidence in myself as a person but also in the gym! I don't think I could say enough about working with Jeff and McKenzie.

I’ve been going to Jeff’s boot camps for a year now. Each week brings new workouts which are fun and challenging. The other thing I love is the community I’ve gained. It’s awesome to have a group of people and teachers whose goals are to get healthier and stronger.

The gym is a place I use to dread going to, I was embarrassed of how I looked and the lack of knowledge I had. I love that Jeff takes the extra time to sit down with me and map out my goals and gives me that extra push of encouragement when he knows that I am having second thoughts. With the constant support, encouragement, the occasional tears, way too many laughs and the constant ass-kicking Jeff has helped me with being more confident both inside and outside of the gym.

I needed a little help in getting back to it with someone who could provide me some guidance on how to do that. One of my goals before my break was to get my deadlift up to 350 lbs. The workouts were challenging right from the beginning, but those first workouts really helped me to figure out where I was by focusing on the effort that I was exerting and not a specific weight. What I got out of my time training with Jeff was more strength, more confidence, and my joy of the journey towards a goal rekindled.

I’ve been participating in Jeff and McKenzie’s bootcamps for a year now. Every week I know I’m in for a lot of fun and a lot of sweat. Jeff and McKenzie push us, encourage us, and coach us expertly through it all. Besides being fantastic trainers, Jeff and McKenzie are great people and they attract great people. I’ve met lots of awesome people in the last year in this welcoming and encouraging community. We’ve worked hard together and we’ve had a hell of a lot of fun doing it!

To be honest, I was embarrassed at my lack of fitness, how I looked and that I did not fit in at the gym. We got to work, and this time I feel like the gym is a place I belong. It happened slowly, and with intention. Jeff makes the place comfortable, and I am free to learn at my pace.
That sporty family has a mom who now leads the hikes, and participates in surfing lessons. My son said, ”mom you couldn’t do this 3 years ago”, and he was right. I am a work in progress, and apparently a gym girl after all.
